This is my first FAWM song for February 2013. It was a collaboration between me and my friend Megan Morris. She wrote the lyrics and I wrote the tune and performed it. Enjoy!

Nakedness,
Pure and innocent.
Completely open.
Soul bared to the flames.
In complete solitude,
Daring the world to peek.
As the firelight dances across my bare flesh,
Paper memories burn.
Water droplets slip down my spine.
Wet hair slowly drying,
As shadows dance across my body.
Candles burning,
Completely open flames surround me.
The heat penetrating my body,
Cleansing my mind.
Reaching my soul.
Contemplate the purity
That remains in me.
The flames flicker.
I can feel the burning on my cheeks and eyes.
Inside and out, I am
Naked.
you could be a pirate
cuz your good at hiding
all the things people want to be finding
like the treasures found inside of your heart
the only problem is finding the map to start.
all these things i know your keeping from me,
i promise i’ll find them eventually.
you don’t need to worry cuz i’ll keep them safe,
but please don’t let this be a long chase.
sometimes i start to think you’ll give me a clue,
but then realize what you’re about to do.
and you stop your mouth from revealing
and i can’t help but think you might just be unfeeling.
